SaTECHday-Dice+ Attempting to change the 5000 Year Old Dice

I missed last Saturday:( Its crazy that dice has been around for 5,000 years...Game Technologies is attempting to do the impossible-Bring dice into the 21st Century. Dice+ still has the six-sides like the traditional dice, but it also has the ability to interact with smartphones and tablets using Bluetooth to deliver a blend of old fashioned game playing on a new fashioned platform.

Compatible with Android 4.0 and newer, as well as the iPad 3, Dice+ has a range of up to 15 feet, which seems like more than enough, since most gamers will be playing near the device to which they are connected.

The device also packs quite a bit of technology into the space behind its six LED displays. An in-built magnetic field sensor allows Dice+ to detect its orientation while a proximity sensor lets it know when it is being touched and an accelerometer allows it to detect movement and acceleration. These sensors allow for accurate rolls as well as helping prevent cheating (because it knows if it has been rolled properly).

SaTECHday-Emopulse Smile SmartWatch

I love the design of this smart watch. It is a twin-display smartphone that you can wrap around your wrist and wear like a bracelet, the working prototypes are reported to have made use of experimental flexible displays. The first batch were monochrome, but the latest are full-color OLED.

The upper screen auto activates as the arm is raised, while the lower screen turns on when it's pointed upwards by twisting the wrist. The displays are housed within an aluminum enclosure, topped by waterproof and shock-resistant glass from Schott.

SaTECHday-Floating Outdoor Cinema

SaTECHday IS BACK!!!!! Every Saturday I will TRY to post something that I think is DOPE that is new and and innovative that you may or may not have heard about.

If you are going to be in Thailand anytime soon, check out the Archipelago Cinema located off the coast of Yao Noi. You gotta take a boat out to the location, but the cinema features a large floating projection screen and a floating raft made from recycled materials. They are saying that it could be potentially the largest panoramic movie theater in the world.

Its kinda of romantic if you are in to those kind of things...I mean, how suave would it be to be like, "Baby, we going to the movies, but we gotta take this boat to the theater...

I can't help but to think though...Its all fun and games till a big ass tidal wave come crashing in...

Also I wonder if they show movies that involved large bodies of water, like Titanic, Life Of Pi, Perfect Storm, etc.
