Everything is falling apart...
You see no light at the end of the tunnel, but you tell yourself that you must go on. You started this... This was your baby, your pride and joy...You feel responsible... You feel obligated... There was no plan B... Only a plan A... This was it... Your heart tells you, just a little bit longer, but your head tells you, to cut your losses... You don't want to be viewed as a quitter... And you also don't want to admit to failure.
You want to be smart, but also know that in order to "make it" you have to take risks.
You decide to... ignore the signs... and go down with the ship...
And I say F*ck That!!!
Sorry about the language but follow me for a second... There is a method to my reaction... Some would say, that I have a quitters mindset... (I swear I'm the most loyal person I know) Others would say that I lack dedication, and perseverance. Well I would say, never forget that business is business and you would be stupid not to have a exit strategy. Go down with the ship? Really? You really want to throw EVERYTHING away because of ONE idea you created didn't pan out the way you thought it was going to pan out? Like we are not humans and don't have 100's and 100's of different ideas daily? Please don't be that person that think this way. What ship you know of that doesn't come with emergency boats and life savers? Think about it. By all means, I'm not saying go into new projects with one foot in and one foot out, all I'm saying is make sure you don't cut off your feet so that you could walk away if need be. That next idea could be the one! That sink or swim mentality looks good in the movies... I prefer to be a realest and make calculated risks. Moral of the story... Have a plan B, C, D, etc... Everything happens for a reason... Also remember... No grind... Plan, Execute & Repeat!
Tweet below is from a person that thinks otherwise.
I agree. Sometimes it's better to cut your losses and live to fight another day, when the odds are more in your favor than to fight a losing battle. You have some good stuff on here, bro.
ReplyDeleteThanks Scott for the feeback...Glad that you agree!
ReplyDeleteThey say that the definition of insanity is repeating the same mistakes and expecting different results. They also say, know when to hold 'em and know when to fold 'em. Maturity is admitting to yourself that you're on a sinking ship and having the courage to jump overboard. It's in our instincts to survive. You wouldn't turn around and fight a grizzly bear just so people can say, "Well, he died fighting..."
